Exciting! A bit intimidating....
Out of the box.
I watched a video. Here is my favorite:
Bobbin wound. It took a bit of adjusting of the "bobbin winder guide." But not horrible. Had a few moments of panic when the bobbin presser foot wouldn't line up with the bobbin. I learned from a video that I had to make sure that the bobbin catches and then it moves down a bit. If it doesn't the bobbin presser will not fit.
Ok. Next up. Threading. There are a couple of videos online. I'm going to try them.
And here is some threader videos
This is the one that make it work!!!!
Thank you Jane, from the BOLT Quilt Shop in Monroe, Connecticut. Somehow how you demonstrated it, makde sense.
Ok! About 1/2 hour in. Bobbin made. Machine Threaded. Automatic needle threader successful one time.
Update: the automatic needle threader is really easy. I was making more of it than I needed to. You just casually drap the thread behind, and then make sure it is in the notch in the front. There's no where specific it needs to be in the back. And it works every time!
