Welcome! We are multi-faceted. We began as a research podcast by Dr. Townsend Gard at Tulane University Law School.
We've grown into a community about quilting, crafting, entrepreneurship and intellectual property.

Carolanne Donovan, quilter of Sweet Carolanne
Interviewed by Elizabeth Townsend Gard
Date May 2018
Carolanne is a new quilter but a long-time sewist. She also is an expert on digital marketing. This is part 1 of the conversation. She's agreed to come back and get us a lesson on social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, especially for those budding quilt entrpreneurs just starting out.
Here is her bio:
My name is Carolanne and I'm a digital marketer by day and a sewer by night! I have an MA in Integrated Marketing Communications and have been working in social media field for about 8 years. I've known how to sew a straight line since I was about 10, but sometime between college and grad school I got sick of buying ready-to-wear clothes that didn’t always fit well and decided to try my hand at sewing clothes. In addition to now having a mostly me-made wardrobe, sewing is a really great way for me to "get away from it all." Although I love garment making, I decided to give quilting a try about three years ago and I joined (and an now the President of) an amazing local guild (NHMQG). I love bright colors, paper piecing and any fabric designed by Anna Maria Horner or Carolyn Friedlander!
Here are a few of the things I mentioned when we talked incase you want to link to them:
