Welcome! We are multi-faceted. We began as a research podcast by Dr. Townsend Gard at Tulane University Law School.
We've grown into a community about quilting, crafting, entrepreneurship and intellectual property.

Gigi Baay
New Orleans, LA
Interviewed by Elizabeth Townsend Gard
I met Gigi when I went to Uptown Needle and CraftWorks. They have days where you can bring your sewing machine and go sew. She was there working. I went because I had to make three (yes!) very complicated (for me) jackets for cosplay for my daughter and her friends. I had never put in sleeves or made a jacket before. She was wonderful! She previously had her own sewing business. Now, she works at Uptown. She is also a quilter.
Gigi is amazing. She is positive, kind, and a great teacher. She also was willing to join our Quilting Army.
Gigi went to Padcuah as part of our Quilting Army. She is now running our first Sew-Along, the Gypsy Wife by Jen Kingwell.
