The Pussy Hat project, in many ways, was part of the reason this project began. Seeing all of those hidden crafters protesting in pink made me realise there was a story to learn -- about all of us creating works quietly (or not so quietly). My passion is quilting, not knitting or crochet, although I crocheted as best I could about 25 hats. But I wanted to know more about us -- those making the hats, those making the quilts. And yes, I'm a huge Hillary supporter, I wear a safety pin, and tell my Dean I'm wearing my pink hat as I ask for money for my project or stand up for something I believe in.
