Megan Patent-Nygren

Interviewed by Elizabeth Townsend Gard

Date March  2018

  • I'm in four quilt guilds (I know, it's crazy).

  • I'm a member of a maker space at the University of Nebraska with a longarm, industrial sewing machines and other cool textile tools.

  • I'm a member of the International Quilt Study Center and Museum at the University of Nebraska.

  • I teach youth quilting through 4-H.

  • I design quilts using Adobe Illustrator.

  • I've thought about publishing patterns and increasing my teaching to guilds, etc., but am undecided about entering a space that is already saturated, especially since I don't intend to make it a full-time gig.
