Susan is awesome. She talks to us about her quilting life, including having a long-arm business.

Here is her autobiography:

Hello! I’m Susan Ainsworth Smith and I’m the owner and quilter of Kelly Creek Studio. My husband and I live in the Portland, Oregon area and are grateful for the beautiful surroundings of the state.
What do I like to do? Quilt, walk, cook, read, and spend time with family and friends. I’m lucky that both of my daughters are quilters too.
I’m a member of several local guilds in addition to meeting weekly with a group of women for sewing and quilting. I enjoy working with the guild to provide donation quilts to various organizations in the Portland area.

At Kelly Creek Studio, I do all of the machine quilting myself using an Innova long arm quilting machine. My quilting style is hand-guided free-motion quilting and edge-to-edge designs using Pantovision or paper patterns. Custom quilting can include stitch-in-the-ditch, ruler work, and set-in designs. I have been longarm machine quilting for over 17 years and a quilter for more than 30. Before my quilting years, I was a sewist making garments for myself and my 2 daughters."
